About

I have always worked with textiles and clothing in one form or another, I studied textile design at Nottingham Trent University and went onto be a fashion stylist at Selfridges London, followed by a decade long career as a costume supervisor and costume designer  in the Film, Tv & advertising industries, here I learnt to focus on character over fashion trends.

After settling in Oxford and starting a family I built my own brand of upcycled children’s wear – this made me question modern fashion industry practises and  research more sustainable alternatives. Something I hold central to my work and lifestyle is the 3 R’s philosophy of re-use, repair, recycle.

In 2014 I joined Annie Sloan Interiors and built up their fabric department, designing classes in surface design & upholstery and developing their fabric collection, sourcing from mills & printers in the UK & Europe.

Sine 2019 I have returned to freelance work – highlights have been working as a stylist on the brilliant ICON project with Arts at the Old Fire Station & Crisis Oxford, Crowd fitting on The Crown and Crowd supervising on Call The Midwife.

I take on bespoke commissions in both clothing, upholstery alterations and mending. As well as practise my own textile work. I have just completed a Post Graduate in Education artist practise.
